Great Kindness Week

It’s coming! The Great Kindness Challenge starts on January 25! We’re excited that BMMA will be participating for the 2nd year.
The GKC is one week devoted to performing as many acts of kindness as possible. Students are provided with a checklist of 50 kind acts. The 50 kind acts are to be accomplished any time on campus. The students are encouraged to continue sharing their kindness at home, in their communities and in our world.
Our BMMA KfP team and teachers have some great activities planned to support this special week of kindness:
* Monday, Jan. 25 – GKC Kick-off Welcome Tunnel and “Crazy for Kindness” CRAZY HAIR DAY
* Wednesday, Jan. 27 – Kindness Stations during recess/lunch
* Throughout the week: Kind Coins for Kenya program

Parking Reminders

Parking Reminders: Street sweeping on Huff Street takes place the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. Please do not park on the street at this time in order to avoid a ticket. We have provided additional parking along the garden. Parents may park in this zone, but must move their car prior to 2:30 in order to avoid blocking the pick-up lanes. Additionally, please remember to avoid parking in handicap spaces unless you have the placard hanging. We want to ensure these spots are availble to those in need of it. Thank your your attention to this matter.

P.E. Needs

PE Needs: Our students will be working on basketball  and volleyball skills when they return in January. We are currently in need of portable basketball nets (large and small, the kind on wheels that can be moved), basketballs and volleyballs. . These can be donated or borrowed and would be needed for the month of January and February. If you are able to donate these materials, please contact Erica Howard at ehoward@bellamentecharter.org

Board Game Donations

Board Game Donations: Are you cleaning out closets over break? Do you happen to have extra board games? If so, we are in need of board games that are in gently used. These will be used for rainy day recess this year. As you may know, we are expected to have many rainy days this winter and these games will be utilized when the students must stay indoors due to the weather. Any board games can be dropped off by the front office. Thank you for your donations!
